I agree with the OP Bush is just trying to hand the greedy corrupt oil companies more oil as his exit gift so they can exploit us further. Why open up ANWR, so the oil companies can turn around and sell it overseas like they do with Alaskan oil now. The Oil companies have put the screws to us, lets return the favor and drop em hard and fast.

The party's almost over and oil's days of being number one will soon expire. I hope prices remain high, so we can continue to implement replacement technologies. We have plenty of coal, natural gas, and we are getting better and better at solar and wind technologies. Forget the idea of solar and wind farms lets push for individual units or neighborhood units, so we don't have to pay the piper running the grid.

The only way to get off oil, that is currently available, is nuclear.

What a load of BS! Even if we do continue to use gas it will be secondary such as the 300 mile per gallon Aptera. I've posted these twice before and I'll keep posting them and others until I see them in the car lots. I'm sure they can run that generator off of natural gas if necessary, but even if gas goes to 20 dollars a gallon at 300mpg that's 7 dollars every 100 miles.

Or the Compressed Air car that cost about 2-3 dollars of electricity to recharge for 120 mile range.

Maybe not mass produced yet, but it is currently available technology and as long as gas stays high coming to a car lot near everyone.

The OIL BARONS can enjoy the plunge to HELL, better spend your money on oils replacement technology before you pigs go broke.

If you think you can control the power grids we will move off the grids too.
