I had a giggle with the free creature creator yesterday, spent a good half an hour trying to make a creature that didn't work, for example a really
tall creature that had a huge head, skinny body and a couple of tiny legs.
Grrrr. I've just discovered that it requires a 2 Ghz cpu. I've only got a 1.4 Ghz cpu. I was so looking forwards to this game. I downloaded the
demo and it didn't even give me a chance at giving it a try no matter how slow. (sigh)
Technically it is not even a spore demo. It's a demo of one very small part of the game interface and contains no gameplay whatsoever. As far as
gameplay goes, I do not think an actual game demo will be possible.
If anyone else makes some good looking creatures and wants to show them off:
Go into test-drive and give them a pose
Click the camera button to take a photo
Click the flashing 4x4 photo icon next to the camera for the option to save your photos to disc. They will automatically appear in My Documents/My
Spore Creations as both PNG and JPG files.
Upload to Photobucket or Imageshack etc and show them off
Bah! I spent a couple hours playing around last night but when I went into the game to snap some pics my creature is not there. My page shows that I
have created one, and I can see a snapshot of it in the online panel but it is not available to open. Lost.
Yeah, it is pretty crazy the amount of combinations from the 'demo' version alone.
When you all get a chance go through the Sporepedia of the 30 creatures that come included. They are made with the full version of the editor. There
are some really wacky designs.
