Fifth human foot found in Canada

It would appear the sixth foot is a hoax.

As for the number of dismembered feet washing up in the same locale....maybe people in the area are now are more aware because of the media coverage and however morbid it may seem.... they are actually looking for the feet!

Personally, I never noticed my type of car on the road until I bought mine. Ya know what I mean? Because I own a Toyota I seem to notice more Toyota's because it is in the forefront of my mind.

Headline News on TV is reporting all 5 (6th was a hoax) feet are skeletonized and B.C. has 2000-3000 reported people missing. These feet could be years old.

As already mentioned, the sixth foot is a hoax.

It was only a matter of time before something like this happened.

Can DNA detect racial background? If the feet are Asian or Hispanic, could be a boatload of immigrants that drowned when the boat flipped or the plane crashed during a storm and the skeletal feet are now washing to shore. Some bodies don't escape the boat or air plane immediately when it sinks. Could be the Russian mob killed a bunch of folks and the bags or boxes the bodies were put in before being dumped into the ocean have disintergrated and releasing the feet? Understanding ocean currents will help a lot in locating the source of the shoed feet. Are Asian fish processing ships killing off the slave labor they use? China has slaves, you know.

The manufacturer of the shoes attached to the feet could identify the manufacture date. There are hidden identification marks on just about everything now a days. I work in the plastic bottle industry and bring me a soda pop bottle and I can find the dates for when the preform was made, blown into a bottle, filled with soda pop, the resin type and when the resin that was used to make the preform that was blown into a bottle was made, too. You can even identify the machine operators who made both resin and preform and blown bottle just by the stamp marks on the bottle. I'm sure the same quality standards are used with commercially made tennis shoes, too.

No one seems to have mentioned the timescale

on May 24, 2008 the paper said it had been 9 months,so that makes it 10 months now.

Also, statistically what are the chances of feet washing up at all and being found - point being - how many have not been found?

If you dumped 100 feet 2 miles off shore, how many would be washed up AND found.

Also, i do not believe sneakers float.

Lastly, i do not believe that if this was natural we would not find other parts - soi think that there is more afoot here than meats the eye.

Hate to burst your lovely conspiracy bubbles, tut this latest "foot" turned out to be a hoax. It was an animal paw stuffed into a running shoe.

Seems that someone is trying to make it look like there is a serial foot chopper out there.

I would expect the killer to be around 40 years of age, possibly married, with a steady job with disposable income. Typically he would have a rather mundane job with little excitement, very likely owning a small business.

I would be surprised if the killer were not a four year college graduate; and he isn't stupid by any means. He's very structured with a type A personality.

I would look for missing prostitutes, as the feet need not really belong to a runner at all, the shoes may just be his fantasy fulfillment after the fact. Prostitutes would be harder to notice missing by investigating authorities. I would also bet that all the feet belong to one gender and one race, as he probably seeks a certain "type" of victim to meet the requirements of his fantasy.

If this was some type of hoax, it should be likely that they may find forensic evidence such as whether or not these people were from some funeral home, such as before a cremation. Whether or not the feet and their DNA matched the shoes they were wearing along with the shoe size etc. The animal foot and shoe may be some type of clue these were all planned.

The mention these feet and shoes falling off after death suggest otherwise. But, this could also be a false press release.

I think there may have been some sort of Disaster at sea and these Feet that are being washed up, could come from people who died in that disaster. Does anyone know of any disasters that have happened near the area that the feet are being washed up at?

It good to see a few good scenarios Kickin' around. I guess there's going to be a demand for Prosthetic Feet in the near future.

I've read about half of the posts here on this topic. It got old quick. So I am going to put in my two cents.

First of all I am near the area they are talking about. We have not been told what sex the feet are from, it would make a difference if we knew, but I know that several young men have gone missing in the last year or so.

Why is is not possible that a woman is doing this??? It could be possible.
Why is it assumed that it is a man? Did anyone see the movie "Monster"? I would almost bet it is a woman, men are not always to blame. Women are great killers and smart too cause apparently they don't get caught as often as men... hehe (sorry had to say it).

The northwest is notorious when it comes to serial killings. I mean it is outlandish. If who ever is doing this (if anyone is doing this) the one thing I believe is they are getting tired and want to get caught. Up here there are lots of places a person could hide bodies and they will NEVER be found. Honestly why toss them in water? If you are going to do that then why not just toss them out with the garbage.

Generally we as humans are almost always wrong when it comes to figuring these things out until all the evidence is presented, then of course it is usually way to late. We go by statistics, which gives us a sense of what the norm of a killer would be. Did you read that? Let me say it once again "the norm of a killer". There is no norm to a killer.

All we know in the public is there is 5 feet and 5 shoes that somebody is missing. You would think if anyone were missing them they would have claimed them by now...(twisted but true). So if there are bodies that once went with the feet then where are the bodies? They haven't shown up in a morgue?? DNA must be done to find out more. We many never find out who the feet belong too.

What about the facts we are not being told? There are many... As far as the feet being women or male, I just want to go I record to say there are many women with big feet out there, I know cause I am one of them (size 11, but I am tall too). But if it is a foot fetish I am safe cause, dang, I have some truely ugly feet. Do the toenails have polish on them?? Any toe rings?? Athletes foot? What color of skin? There is a lot we have not been told.

So just to sum this up. Why couldn't it be a woman? She's in good shape, between the ages of 30 and 50 somewhere and she is a large woman. She is very angry and has been attacking young men. Maybe she is keeping them as slaves and to keep them in control she is removing a foot so they can't run off. It's all about her wanting her power back, she is mad.

Maybe she was molested as a child, raped as a teen, scorned as a wife, abused by her work pals. Maybe she's a track star, or a librarian, or a nurse, maybe a model, or a CSI agent. Who knows... Maybe it's your mother, or sister, or aunt? OMG maybe it's your grandmother!

I don't think we should assume anything at this point...

I haven't read the entire thread so forgive me if this was already posted. The first thing that occurred to me was that they could be feet from tsunami victims from a few years ago that have washed up after crossing the pacific.

I do imagine there were a great number of body parts washed out to sea... are athletic shoes a common footwear in areas like sri-lanka?

One thing I'd like to point out is that the police are being very hush-hush about the facts they have found. That is SOP for a murder investigation when the murderer is still on the loose. So that rules out asian tsunami victims.

Actually that idea was already put forth. It was pretty much shot down by every one.

CBC News program "The National" just ran an in depth news documentary on the mysterious feet in BC. Many "experts" were interviewed and it was well done.
I have no way of capturing the video but if any other Canadians are watching tonight the program reruns at 10Pm and 11Pm in Ontario on Rogers TV. Maybe somebody can up it to youtube !!

The bottom line is the police have no idea where the feet/shoes are coming from and one year into the investigation are no further along.

Well, having watched the report on The National, I have come to the conclusion that this story just doesn't have any legs...
