i know Iran president is at least weird but...
i can't understand why americans more believe their money greeding oil selling lobby than producer of that same oil.
If i'm producing oranges and say there is enough cheap oranges, but you buy very expensive ones, who's to blame? me or...

This strangely rings true for me.

"Political factors, barriers to entry, and high taxes all play a role here. In other words when it comes to producing more oil, the problems are above ground, not below it. They are not geological, but political," he added.

This is a quote from the chief executive, Tony Hayward, of BP.

Here is the rest of the article entitled "World has enough oil reserves, says BP boss":

www.guardian.co.uk...

We only know what the scientists and geologists tell us about our fascinating planet, and what they discover is diluted and manipulated... then that "information" finally gets into our hands. I would rather believe that we are good on oil and that politics are responsible rather than our earth running out of oil.

The president of Iran speaks the truth in this instance. There is enough oil on the market! The ever increasing price at the pump is just another ploy by TPB to send us off on another witch hunt.Pressure put upon OPEC to "over produce"oil for the market will eventually cause them to balk. Then we will have another target to place the blame upon.Yet another false flag crusade.

The push for ethanol production in this country is a farce. The production alone uses more energy to create than it will ever produce.Placing the amount of food produced in the country in peril.

H2O in gasious form is with out doubt a viable source of combustable energy. It has been squelched by the government,as it can be rendered by just about anyone and adapted fairly easily to run automobiles on.With people making their own fuel there would be no tax per gallon,a tax that today nets the government millions of dollars a day.
The situation we are in seems like an all out push to limit our ability to travel freely.Do you think the government wants to "keep us barefoot and pregnant"?

The President is speaking the truth - kind of. I wouldn't go so far to say the world is swimming in oil but the report I read, from the BBC I believe, said that worldwide oil production was 87 million barrels a day. Worldwide oil consumption was 86.4 million barrels a day, so demand has not yet outstripped supply.

It's not like a Nintendo Wii, where not enough is being produced to satisfy demand, and therefore a black market has arisen with inflated prices to meet peoples rampant need who are willing to pay an inflated price, there's currently plenty of oil to meet demand.

So if there is plenty of oil to meet demand, why is the price rising? Because the stock market is making speculation on supply dwindling. Why is it speculating that? Because of the US rhetoric against Iran, the 4th largest oil producer perhaps? When was the last time oil prices jumped? Just prior to the invasion or Iraq, another large oil producer.

So all of those who are complaining that oil prices are too high, well they're too high because of your government going around threatening the very countries who supply the oil. Your paying the price for the Bush war agenda, and the real kick in the balls is that Bush, Cheney and their buddies also have shares in oil companies, so they're also making money out of your misery. This is a Bush/Cheney money grab to tide over their worthless lives once they're out of office. They're like bank robbers stuffing as much money in their pockets as they can before making a run for it.

you "yanks" have it backwards , your not seposed to destroy the birth place of religion as we know it

saying that god speaks throu you and at the same time desecrate its birth place
drives up the oil price,

you want to know why they dont leave ,

they cant afford oil/kerosine/gas at the prices its going at , time to give up and just face the music please

So by acknowledging that he spoke the truth, we played into his hands PERFECTLY? What response are we supposed to have to this, outrage?

I don't think that Ahmandinejad highlighting the fact that the dollar is in the toilet is doing any more harm than our leaders ignoring or hiding the fact. We seem to be destroying the dollar perfectly well all on our own.

Remember that one thing really hurting the dollar was the fed constantly lowering interest rates. That had to be done in response to the burst of the housing bubble which was caused by the huge rash of foreclosures. The bubble itself was caused by all of the predatory lenders getting people into homes that they really couldn't afford. Still, some blame has to be put on the home buyers for not reading the fine print on their contracts.

The market will rebound. This is just a lull. The housing market will turn around and the interest rate will increase, both in time, but it will take time to heal. When those things happen the dollar will gain strength again.

What makes me mad is how our government handled predatory lenders by coming up with legislation that essentially bailed them out instead of punishing them. Predatory lenders should have been thrown in jail!

That wouldn't surprise me. Especially if Bush and McCain can "convince" congress to open up offshore drilling again. They would be the messiah's of lower oil costs. The world would think it was the prospect of new oil that lowered the price, not the outcome of a manufactured fleecing of the public.

I don't think opening new oil fields will lower the oil prices at all!

I believe fixing the failing dollar and re-regulating electronic exchanges in the Energy Commodities Market will though!

If more oil from new oil fields enter the "market", it will still be affected by the failing dollar and the price of oil will still be manipulated by speculators!

Here's a couple threads about what the problem REALLY is!

Energy Market Manipulation and Federal Enforcement Regimes

Shell CEO says record oil not due to shortage

World’s Commodity Futures Markets MUST Be Closed At Once!

‘Perhaps 60% of Today’s Oil Price is Pure Speculation’

Do you REALLY think Bush finally has the RIGHT answer!!!

NOPE!

He's got this wrong too!

His solution to fix the high price of oil won't work without the dollar recovering and until energy commodities are re-regulated!

That is what is so damned clever about the man. He is speaking the truth.

I bet that he does that about half the time, maybe even more.

It dosen't change the fact that he is our enemy. Should we not believe him this time because he is our sworn ememy? No.

The lieing manipulators would love that. He might even love that!
He is a virtuoso lieing manipulator himself.

But there are a lot of people who will automatically believe he is lieing.
So by telling the truth, he gets to laugh at us either way. Both ways.

Why do you consider him your enemy? That is in YOUR head.

You go looking for enemies, so you make people your enemies to satisfy yourself.

You couldn't handle not thinking of having nobody to hate.

I find that sad really.

It is not just him that is laughing at you, the rest of the world is too.

It is absolutely true, the price rise is 100 percent the financiers trying to desperately make back the money they are losing hand over fist from the credit/subprime/hedge fund/derivatives debacle! Oil is the only commodity they can really use to shift their loses onto the people and they'll keep doing it as much as we will let them! Food is their second option to rip us off with.

Why do I subconsciously believe this, it's in the back of my mind but I keep thinking it's something else.
I gave you a *

I don't fear him. I like him.

I'd vote for him if he ran for president here.
At least he really served in the military of his country and doesn't brag about it like McAnus...oh and he hasn't wiped the Iranian population of jews off the map, has he?
