Hydro Power! Why not Air Power?

I keep seeing a lot of excitement over the new advances in hydroelectric technology, but why is there not more coverage on air powered technology?

The Air/Solar power combo is completly clean and effecient. The air just recycles with no changes being made to it. And obviously the suns energy is very abundent. Imagine an air compression powered car with a paint job that is actually solar panels.

I personally feel turning to hydro power is a bad idea...After all, we need the stuff to survive and there are quite a few people on this planet now days.

I prefer the hydrogen system because you can get away with a relatively low pressure system and I suspect it has better energy yields, that said, compressed air is a decent technology, and it might have a place in tomorrows economy.

One more thing: It's about time people realise the water used in a hydrogen ecoonomy dosen't go anywhere, it's just vaporised, to fall as rain later, unless it's recycled in the actual viehicle, which is also an option. Think of your car as a water purification device, it's a possibility with hydrogen or water electrolosis technology.

Hey man, I know I'm only knew but don't think it means I know nothing, I assure you I have been on ATS before. Anyway I have to agree with Ciphor because Air powered cars are clean. Do a simple search on air powered cars on youtube and you will see it is today's technology. One thing that annoys me is the fact you see 'Japan made water powered car' type headlines everyday yet the cleaner technology has been around for a long time, Do yourselves a favour and watch the doco Who killed the Electric Car and then maybe you will see that the electric car has come and gone twice now due to oil companies and the like. Today is generation X, Y and Z's decision to decide the better future, after all oil has already run out, you're just not being told that. So I say Airpowered Car today, and I love the idea of the Air powered car with solar panel paintjob, lmao! I'm gunna be getting an airpowered car imported to Australia later this year and I may do the solar panel paintjo to it! :-) Here is a few more links you might enjoy

The main turn off for hydro power for me at least is battery consumption. But I also suspect so much hydro conversion will effect local environments? Air and solar definitely effects nothing. No maybes, no thought, 100% clean and anti-disruptive.

I'm speaking in terms of the technology of the future. Everyone driving around making rain in areas where rain isn't common could have possible side effects we don't see, as we did not see the side effects of oil.

Think about it in a bigger scope, not just a few drivers, but in 15 years when it's a few billion drivers. 'If' it comes to that point, I'd rather have air. Think about your air powered car with a solar powered and charged air compressor on board. no fill ups needed my friends. Just a little good old oil to lube the parts!

Perhaps, but I think the effect could be positive. Think a greener more lush planet biosphere. Think more agricultural yields.

Besides, if the car uses water for fuel, and emits water as a byproduct, well, there is really no need to actually have an impact at all, at least from the actual viehicles.

I'm not sure on this, but doesn't the hydro system require some type of electric system to accompany it? That's waste.
