Strange clouds, chemtrails or what?

I'm on a business trip to the Gulf Coast region of Misssissippi, and something I've noticed while driving around are very strange orange clouds. The color isnt the strangest thing, however; what's really odd is that they only appear a different color through polarized lenses. My sunglasses are polarized, and I mentioned a strange orange cloud. My wife couldn't find it. After a lot of "it's right there in front of us!" dialog I took off my sunglasses and it looked normal. We both thought it was really odd how it only appeared the odd orange color only when viewed through polarized lenses. I noticed another cloud a few days later that looked very similar, again looking normal unless seen through polarized lenses. It's not just the sunglasses either, someone with us had normal glasses with a polarized uv coat on them.


Anyway, it seemed odd to us, and I wanted to bounce it off people at ATS to see if anyone has seen or heard of this, and might know what it was.
