STS-124 white/red dot disappearing

Hi, all! New to this Forum. Not English-speaking by nature (sorry for spelling mistakes).

Following - via NASA-tv - the STS-124 leaving the space station for earth and noticed a white/red-dot in the upper right part of the transmission/stream at approx 17:00 Stockholm time.

I took a couple of printscreens and suddenly (17:04 Stockholm time) the dot just disappeared. I have the pictures saved on my computer but do not know how to store them in a public space for you to see. (Help, anyone?)

I do not know if the dot was the space station going into some earth shadow(?) but I have a frame from 17:03 where the dot is there, and in less than a minute, 17:04, it is gone.

I did perform a search on this but only came up with topics regarding the launch and early mission of STS-124.

Hi urdead! If you want to upload images you can register by photobucket or Imageshack.

Upload it on either one, then use the url the from the programme you chosen. Then reply on your thread click on Insert image, place the url and that is it!

I find it remarkable it vanished so abruptly. But what was it? It must have been recorded by someone. 17:03-04 PM Sweden time is, I think, about 12:03-04 PM in New York.

Could this be the object I saw?:

"(CNN) -- The debris spotted floating away from space shuttle Discovery has been preliminarily identified as a thermal clip from the shuttle's brake system, NASA said Friday."

If so, what about the disappearance from one minute to another? What about the date - did the thermal clip break away from the shuttle the 11th?
