Why do you use 30 year old scientific hypothesis? The appendix actually has a VITAL function that only shows up in less than ideal circumstances.

As I understand it, the appendix contains a breeding ground for beneficial bacteria necessary for proper digestion. When a person suffers from diarrhea due to disease, once the body flushes out the disease, the bacteria residing in the appendix are used to repopulate the intestines.

So, yes, in MODERN society the appendix has little function, because we use antibiotics to control disease in the intestines. In societies without those antibiotics, the appendix serves a vital and important function to survival.

If you stop and REALLY think about evolution, there should be NO "junk dna" or "useless appendages". Indeed, it should be anathema to evolutionists. Because, IF IT DID NOT HAVE A SURVIVAL ADVANTAGE, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN BRED OUT OF THE POPULACE. "Survival of the fittest", remember? Obviously, humans that had appendixes were MORE FIT TO SURVIVE than those that didn't, or had malfunctioning ones.

It is the height of hubris to suggest that animals or people have "useless" parts. Not so many years ago, it was thought that tonsils had no use either. Now, we know better. While it may not be VITAL to have tonsils in a first world country, they sure do serve a mightily useful function in a human when they aren't living in a first world country.

As far as we know, Abel didn't have a wife. Cain picked a wife from one of his sisters, as did Seth. Their children picked spouses from their cousins, which still happens today in some cultures (with very little in the way of genetic repercussions, if I may add)

As far as the "animal instinct of avoiding incest", you haven't been around any animals at all, have you? Animals don't have an "instinct for avoiding incest" as any farmer can tell you. HUMANS have to separate those related animals to avoid them interbreeding.

Indeed, humans also use interbreeding (incest, if you will) to strengthen certain genetic traits that are desired in animals. For examples of this, research how the Doberman Pincher or German Shepard were created (those breeds are less than 125 years old)

Besides, the bible (i.e., God) didn't put limits on incest in the very beginning for two simple reasons: one, genetic flaws weren't in abundance at that time, and two, there were no other humans to copulate with.

You can say what you want about Christianity, but it DOES have this going for it: It is logically and internally consistent. The same thing cannot be said about some scientific "theories".

Thank you for that post nevertheless. You would think a Scientist as eyemongrel would have just assumed that is what would have to be done. Yes you are correct about the genetic flaws being at a minimum. Adam was 120 years of age when seth came into being.

The reason discussions with ID and creationist believers always devolve into chaos, is because they must maintain total contempt for the principles of logic and reason in their arguments, just to hang on to the miracles and magic their beliefs require. They can't even propose a single science experiment to demonstrate what they believe!

Sure, science is full of blind alleys and mistakes. That is how evolution and real knowledge works! The difference is that science learns from it. Creationists can never afford to admit any mistakes and haven't learned anything new since the very beginning.

Please, study the history of Alchemy. Science evolved from it because religion failed completely. They diligently tried to re-create magical spells and miracles by trying to interpret religious texts as esoteric recipes containing hidden truths and utterly failed. Matter was not animated with spirit after all and what eventually became of their careful notes and observations, was the precursor to metallurgy and chemistry. You don't know much about wild animals, do you? Wild animals definitely have instincts against incest. Farm animals have lost most of theirs.
The idea that Noah's ark could have held even two of every animal is simply preposterous, unless you need magic and miracles to explain what you believe. That is not allowed in science.
If every animal began from only two, the effects of inbreeding would have made them all extinct. Just like people. Any wildlife biologist will tell you that two animals are not a sustainable population.

At least have the integrity to admit that what you believe requires abandoning logic.

Opposable thumbs is all you need to account for defective genes surviving in humans. Why do you need to make everything so unnecessarily complicated with fictional planets and solar systems? Look up Occam's Razor.

second in the law of thermodynamics it states "in all energy exchanges, if no energy enters or leaves the system, the potential energy of the state will always be less than that of the initial state." proving that the energy in evolution cannot become more compex but in fact the "common anscestor" would slowly decrease in energy and complexity

Fortunately the second law of thermodynamics is flawed.

When energy is neither gained or lost potential is also neither gained or lost. When the energy of a system is neither gained or lost you have simply the eternal universe.

A neither gaining or losing of energy means either A.) that the energy is eternal and imperishable, or B.) That there is Zero energy, and C.) That both A and B are congruent clauses.

To have energy neither enter or leave a system means that there is no exchange of energy between systems, but rather an evolution of one eternal system's energy since energy can not truly be statically still. The only static state of energy is its constant change, this constant change is its eternal evolution.

Biological energy comes from metabolic processes which break down chemical energy from food, that originally came from the local star, which will eventually die.
Energy can be accumulated and stored, or you could not have grown.

The first law says that energy can neither be created, nor destroyed.
The second says you can't break even.
The third says you must lose.

We have since discovered that matter and energy are the same thing and can go back and forth, but the laws still hold. Not bad for something discovered decades before we even knew what galaxies were, wouldn't you say?

You have to be careful to understand what the system is. If the universe keeps expanding forever, then energy will keep running down forever.
The jury is still out on whether there is enough dark matter to stop it and collapse it again. If that happens, then it might remain constant. That remains to be seen, but the laws still stand.

By the way it was Georges Lemaitre, a Catholic priest, who first proposed the Big Bang theory. Einstein originally preferred the Steady State theory, but was reluctantly persuaded by the data and praised him for it. Lemaitre even chastised the pope for trying to score political points with it.

If you have found a way around the 2nd law of thermodynamics, then you should have no trouble making a perpetual motion machine to solve the world's energy crisis.

My original statement still stands.
