Both winters (October to April) had almost same temperatures. There is huge deviation in Kara sea mostly because there was also huge lack of ice.

Pictures of last 3 years that main problem for high arctic temperatures is actually very thick ice.

This year picture is not nice. In next weeks there will be positive deviation of temperature. Especially critical is Canadian Archipelago but not much
better is at other places.

How did last July and August look like? Well it wasnt especially warm in Arctic but thick ice did it's job. This year we are heading very well for
new ice low records. I think we have already reached point of no return.
