Tour or Die?

My mate and I have a theory that bands have to tour or die. Touring lets them sell merchandise for excess $$$...

In Australia we have had:

Iron Maiden
Megadeth (three times)
Guns 'n' Roses
Motley Crue (with Motorhead)
Slayer

all tour in the past three years.

I love seeing them, but I'm annoyed about spending $50 for a friggin' tshirt that's so think and junk quality.

Tour or Die!

Ever since the Internet allowed people to have just the songs they like and not have to purchase whole albums, artists had to get off the couch and star touring again, they make a ton of money anyway so I guess that it`s not a big deal.
