I know how you feel I have been showing my friends it for a while ever since it was posted here and just fairly recently it was removed kinda makes you wonder if Big brother removed it

damn I really wanted to see it too. Would have been cool to see the suit in action. Any stills or pic from the video? Theres gotta be another link somewhere!

Can you tell me anything about what you can tell about the suit. I basically have to live vicariously through your viewing of the video. I know the thing exists, just think it's damned cool that they have it deployed to recon units. I have a few buddies that are marines, ones even in recon. I should ask him about the suit when I see him next. Which probably wont be for another 8 months.

Is the effect like in predator where you can see the outline of the guy and light is coming through the suite only slightly blurry. is the suite see through like the image from behind is being projected onto the front? Cool that the other US soldier knew how to spot him and that they apparently have a conversation.

I wanna talk to recon soldiers wearing thermo optic camo.

Did anyone save this video. I have been looking for it off and on for hours. I think it might be the new weapon we have been hearing about or maybe it is part of a new system of warfare.

EDIT: Its at the live leak link:

The video was just moved. I have never seen this before myself. This is very interesting. It could be a fake though. CGI can do wonders.

listen, the us military does have invisible suit technology. I've heard first hand accounts of recon and sniper teams using these suits. They are real. I've heard they are more of a predator type camo though where its not exactly perfect but works well enough. They were described as "glowing" kind of becuase they show the colors of whats behind the soldier wearing the suit. They dont really transmit the image, but use thousands of either fiber optic cables or some other kind of material that bends light. True story, no lie, it amazed me too.

weird though it doesn't really look like CGI. If thats the stealth suit than I gotta admit it's pretty damned effective. It would be real hard to see that guy if he was standing cloaked right in front of you in the mid day sun.

It use to be fiber optics sewn into the uniforms and their backpack would carry a camera and project the background image from the camera onto the suit. This was over a decade ago and back then impracticable because the equipment back then added an extra 50lbs or so to what they were already carrying.

It was aired on either discovery channel or history channel can't remember which. So I assume it's similar to that now days and sense its actually being used won't be aired on TV anytime soon lol...

Wow, very interesting display of thermoptic camouflage, get me one of those suits and a map to Denise Richard's house and I'm set! It's a shame that many of our most impressive technologies come as the direct result of wartime R&D, although we still got nothing on mother nature!

Although I doubt the octopus can drive a car down the freeway whilst simultaneously eating a cheeseburger, talking on his cellphone, and inputting directions into a GPS system, only to go home and smoke a doobie while appreciating the subtle complexities of Beethoven's 5th symphony before hoping on the internet and enjoying a rollicking romp through Azeroth as his wicked alter-ego, Octolock. Of course, I know little of the intricacies of Octopus society, so I could be way off base.

I would say for the most part it looks like the real deal but as someone earlier stated, cgi can do wonders...I will however say that personally I think its authentic and I also think this is something that slipped through the fingers of the public face of the military. I would wager a few of the top brass behind whomever is calling the shots in the department responsible for operating said suits frowned about seeing it pop up on some terrorist propaganda video of all things....I'm also sure this camo suit is probably a conservative leap in tech advancements compared to what is likely under developement or in testing stages....Its a saying that most have heard atleast once which is that typically if we have a certain level of technology here in the states as consumers, its almost a promise that the military had it at least ten years prior if not longer....

Somewhere out there is a hi-res version of this, I looked at it last year frame by frame an debated it in another forum whose users tried some really dumb arguments to discredit it.
Like "why should this be credible, it's from the insurgents! It's on Arab TV!"
Who else would be there to capture it? And release it?
"The guy moves way too smoothly, and look how easy he vaults into the tank"
Not hard to imagine this is an expensive suit, you think they assign the mission to a guy who is fat, slow and has two left feet? And Army personnel do what all day? Uh-huh, climb in and out of tanks. They're young, fit and can jump five feet.
"It's been doctored! Look at the red circle!"
Didn't answer that one.
As for what the guy was doing, he may have actually been doing recon in the area with or near that unit before the IED incident, and afterward sought cover.
I would note that this coincided with many press releases, including some by the Army, announcing recent breakthroughs, but they were years away from making it a reality.
In other words, "that bump in the night isn't really a guy in our suit because we just confirmed we were working on it to pacify speculation when leaks come out, but forget about it. It's still impossible".

I wonder how many times this video has been moved due to "terms of use violation".

Mmmm... sure the terrorists who filmed it are always trying to get it taken off YT.

Me, I think it's real. Wish I could see the hi-res version. I can't even see the versions posted here.

Edit to add: here's another link to the video, now from LiveLeak

This has been discussed on an other thread , glad to see other people have picked it up though.
I'm not re-posting my points I've already made I'm too lazy

I have been thinking about this a fair bit the last few days , how long has this technology been in use if it does exist?
Seems to me you wouldn't just throw some one into a battle zone with untried and tested technology like that.

Wow... Folks continue to post up new videos of this and the continue to get removed... How about this... If someone finds this video again... Upload it to the ATS media portal where it will not be deleted!

Removing that video by administrators is in my opinion final proof that it’s not fake. So now it’s not a speculation, now it is knowledge.

Let’s think what more could we say about that technology. When the second tank come the invisible soldier go out from the hatchway. It happened at 1:41 in that movie. The was back 3:01 when he become visible. That camouflage could operate 80seconds so it have to be charged in some way. He lay down on the top of the tank because he want not to be seen. Probably he was a bit too late.

Any more copies or versions saved?

Once more time. Probably putting here that clips make them disappear faster so let someone copy this and put on our server.

Everywhere this video shows up it disappears it seems. I even had it on my hardrive at one time until of course that came to a clicking and grinding halt. Had to buy another hardrive. Someone doesn't want it getting around.

It started showing up on youtube and the next thing you know Sen. Lieberman declared those types of videos offensive and youtube removed everyone.

That's odd...at one point it seems like it might be just normal camoflauge working well but when it begins to run in it seems almost invisible...
