first post!

Last Saturday night at about 9 p.m. EST I was sitting on the beach at Hilton Head, SC, looking up at the sky in front of me (over the water). Suddenly I saw what looked like a star, but it was moving. It moved "up" from where I was sitting quite rapidly (based on where I was sitting, it was either going up in altitude or moving towards me), then stopped for a second. It did this maybe twice more, rapid movement followed by no movement. Then it disappeared behind some clouds. While it was still there I told my girlfriend to look, but she didn't see anything. The whole sighting lasted about 10 seconds.

It was exciting to me! I never thought something like this would happen.

Sounds like what happened to me. I saw exatcly what you desribe in mobile alabama one night, me and my wife watched it for about 45 seconds. It looked like a start just going in all these crazy directions.

Good to hear. Unfortunately I was unable to view your message until I hit reply. Are members not allowed to see messages by anonymous posters?

My UFO did indeed look exactly like a star but I was nowhere near anything that I believe could have projected the light from the ground. Were there any possible large sources of light where you were in AL?

edit to include this question:

Why would a UFO fly around with seemingly no set path? If it's a method of transportation why aren't they moving towards their destination instead of all over the night sky? I have been reading the forums for a couple months but haven't seen anybody ask this.
