"Alien" is what the US calls non-citizens. Those include foreign nationals here on visas and legal residents with green cards, not just illegal aliens.

What about the next part (which you forgot to add):
"That I will obey the orders of the President and all Officers appointed over me."

Doesn't that mean you have to give your Loyalty to the President since he is your ultimate boss?

Haven't people been saying this for the past 2 years? I don't think that will ever happen.

There was a post a months ago, saying there was going to be a strike on Iran in January, what happened to that?

And before that it was supposed to happen sometime last summer, or September.

Iran is like N. Korea now, in that there is nothing anyone can do about it. They'll have their nukes soon.

only this threat seems to be downplayed from previous threats like they dont want you to take it too seriously... is it a change in words or is it just a weak threat...?

August is probably the second month of the bank crisis coming in June.... and July will be worse... so. August is a go.... as far the economy goes... that will give them an excuse to run the markets back up... Declare Martial Law and Remain in the White House... I can not see why they wouldn't do it in August....

Any member of the armed forces does not have to follow an illegal order. They cannot be punished for refusing that order.

The US has been told stay away from Iran because Russia and China both back Iran.There is an interview on this site by a guy who says Russia has 2 of there newest subs ( that cannot be detected,are 2 football fields in length and can travel at 80miles an hour) one on east coast of US and one on west coast with there missiles locked on LA,NY,DC etc.He says once the first missile hits Iran anyone in the US better get outta dodge!

I believe it will most likely happen in July rather than August, they'll throw a few missles and nothing will happen, if something does then it's a good excuse to pull troops out of Iraq since all they seem to be doing there is baby sitting a few grenade throwing idiots.

Very true.. I can't help but remember the move the Hunt for red october that suppposedly had some truth(the move was based on a book by tom clancy) Russia has one advantage over the U.S when it comes to military technology... it doesn't buy it... We do. just look at our F22 raptors.. how many of them are now in service with the crazy price tag? Russia makes there own technology, and from what I have seen they have amazing engineers. They even had a space shuttle that was far more advanced there ours complete with Jet engines and the ability to go to mars and back! Should be called ENERGIA.. amazing shuttle. If we mess with Iran we mess with Russia.. not a good thing this is probaly why we haven't stiked yet.. perhaps the U.S is looking for an excuse.............

I know how long Islam has been around. Surely it wouldn't last as long as it has if it contributed absolutely nothing to civilization. I never said that. BUT I stand by my contention that Islam has a much more violent history than other religions.

I can't believe the sentiments here:
first the OP plants a story about the intentions of Bush going to war. Despite previous disdain of most posters on ATS about US involvement in ME conflicts, the majority seem to be already rallying around the flag and analyzing repurcusions and strategies of an attack on Iran!
Unbelievable and very telling of the conflict within the American people.
Instead of taking a stand and writing congressmen and other elected representatives, rallying for peace, indeed, DEMANDING peace, practicing peace within your own circle of influence, you all seem to be sitting back and accepting war as inevitable!
I know that if Canada had an empirical, tyrannical leader determined to ruin our country along with any one else's who he sees fit, I would be camped out at my local MLA's office demanding that they do everything possible to put a stop to it.
War does not seem to be the will of the people of the US, so how is it that 250 million people cannot alter the will of their government?
It truly is a sad state of affairs; while the continental US crumbles in disarray, its government is ignoring its people and disrupting the entire world with illegal policies and wars.

I NEVER claimed to be speaking for my nation. However, I DO know plenty of Islam. I've read the Quran, I'm familiar with Mohammed, and I've read plenty of books on Islam.

You say Islam is not oppressive? How about you do some research on your own and tell me who in modern times OWNS MORE SLAVES. Also, lets not forget how Islam SO advances women's rights. I've done my homework (it doesn't take much, you just have to open your eyes instead of ignoring the obvious which the media doesn't want to show you).

Yes I do not believe that Iran has the capability to do anything to us (maybe their allies) but the nuke will probably be set up by our own government. Just like 911 they will stage another false flag attack and have all the people agreeing with them to invade Iran.

Sad that America will probably fall for it again.
