I live in San Antonio, Tx. I drive a 4 cylinder vehicle which cost me 54 bucks to fill today. The gas price ranges from 3.91 to 4.23 a gallon. Man, I thought I was ticked off when I had to fuel up at 2.89! I just roll my eyes and take the beating. What can anybody do? We are being horn swaggled!!!!

I just finished burying a heavily coated 60-gallon steel tank I salvaged from the dump. I prepped it, treated it with phosphoric acid, primed it, epoxy painted it, primed again, fiberglassed it, finished with gelcoat and then as an extra added measure, I put 1" of catelyzed foam on it. It's two meters in the ground, with an extended fill tube. I just filled it today and added a stabilizer. Cost me US $310.00 to fill it. Gas here is $5.15/gallon. That's an imperial gallon, but by the time you convert US to Caymanian dollars, it works out to $5.15/gallon. When used, I suspect it will be only to power a chainsaw, or perhaps a generator to run power tools.

The price of low grade unleaded seams to be hovering if not lowering but hanging out around $3.84 a gallon over the past 3 weeks up here in Northern Colorado'ish.

Is this stopping or lowering the amount of driving in these parts? - in one word, NO. Actually, we've been having a lot of street racing going on up here... mostly cause it's summer time, but that doesn't seam to put a dent in people's way of thinking. I honestly believe that if fuel were to hit $4.00 for low grade unleaded nothing would happen, $4.50? same, nothing. $5.00 ? well I might start filling up once every 1.5 weeks instead of the normal once a week that I've been doing for about 4 months, prior to that it was maybe once every 2 weeks, mostly cause I lived under a mile from work. But now more than 10.

But I've removed the extra seats (all back seats) in my vehicle to cut down on weight to lighten my load. seams to help a lot... i guess.

With the drop in oil prices gasoline here is down to 3.799.

I don't know how much lower oil will go, it is hovering just above support at 122.80 or so.

I hope all of you are getting relief.

Down to $3.72 in my area. Oil took a jump today, but I think it's going to settle back down and we're going to see $3.50 by labor day as predicted.

3 weeks ago, I left Alaska. The day I left, gas on a military base was $4.56.

I am now on another military base just north of Santa Barbara, CA. And it is $4.23. Off base, near us....it is about the same!

We're averaging $3.79.
Low of $3.72; high $3.87.

When it reaches $3.50 I can drive around the block again.

I bought gas yesterday for $3.49 a gallon. A week ago, I paid $3.99 a gallon.
I was surprised to see it drop, but I'm dying to know what it is today.

$1.29 a liter

1,29* 4,55 = 5.87 imperial gallon
conversion for US
5.87 /6 = .98
5.87 - 0,98 = $ 4.89 CAD per American gallon
factor in the money exchange rate
