i was reading Dan Browns "angels and Demons," and he mentioned the shocking "third prophecy of fatima." I read up on it, but i did not quite understand it. can someone give me the basic idea of what it is about?

The Vatican then told the world that the secret was a foretelling of the 1981 assassination attempt on Pope John Paul II.
