If 'Nam & Kennedy Had Never Happened....

Would we still trust the government/military complex today? We've never really trusted politicians but there was always a little leeway that some of them were looking out for our best interest. Where do you think the facade would have fallen if 'Nam and then the JFK assassination hadn't happened?

I was thinking Nixon, MAYBE...but probably not. He would have been seen as a bump in the road as opposed to further proof that these guys are all corrupt. I don't think it would have happened until Bush, Jr.
