Are politicians working for foreign powers?

Why do Washington politicians continually pursue policies, which seem to have no goal other than weakening America. While we can attribute some of it to corruption and stupidity, I think it goes beyond that. Are foreign power sucessfully conspiring to undermine America?

Who are America's real enemies? The Europeans, Russians, and Chinese may all benefit from a weaker America. Have they been working behind the scenes to subvert American democracy?

They have tricked America into failed wars, which only weaken the US military, and don't achieve American interests. Are the elite politicians bought off by foreigners, and domestic collaborators?
