if speculation (Who benefits if space shuttle columbia was shut down?)

As you might know about this video:

The speculation that a UFO (prob men made) shut down the columbia at least increasing the chances for the super hot gases get into the wing...

I don't care if you believe it or not. I want you guys to answer, how would this benefit us as human kind and an invidual who did this?

These are the results because of the accident or whatever it was:
1. One year later or so, bush announced that he is going to retire the space shuttle by 2010.
2. He said we need to get to the moon and build a new orbital space vehicle.
3. Then eventually go beyond.
4. People don't trust NASA as much anymore.
5. NASA spent and wasted time and was grounded for like 2 years because of the accident.

Is this gonna benefit men kind, so we could accelerate our space exploration? Did this create a new wave of space exploration?
