Hopefully I am putting this thread in the proper location, it seems the best fit for it.
A number of years ago when I was in my very early 20's, I was going through some rough times, with family, and life in general. There was a period of a few weeks when i began to have odd (for me) dreams that seemed to revolve around a constant them- medieval times, knights, castles, etc. I can remember some details now but not as much as I'd like- it has been close to 20 years since it happened. There was a consistent location for the dreams, always the same rolling green hills and grey castle set back from a meadow.
One night after doing some letter writing, I left the notepad next to my bed and went to sleep. When I awakened the next morning, there was a lengthy free-verse kind of poem there which I had no recollection of writing. I know for sure I wrote it, as it was in my handwriting and nobody else had access to my bedroom at that time. What was even stranger was that the prose was somewhat like olde english, something like one would expect from a medieval timeframe. I kept a copy of this poen through the years, and recently found it again as I was going through a box of stuff. I thought I would share it here as I found it somewhat inspirational and think it may have been "help" or support from another time.

Life is the most formidable foe
The sword of fate his most dreaded weapon
Wide swaths of despair doth it bring
Destruction to the unwary
He has the power to cast aside
Your most carefully laid out plans
He’ll render your dreams worthless
No, he’d not think twice
Do not take this foe lightly
For he is stealthy and unmerciful
Striking when he is least expected
So post your lookouts, keep your guard up
Beware, the enemy is near
You must strive to conquer him
To show him your true worth
Never say die, fight till the bloody end
Beware, thou valiant, noble warrior
This enemy tries your patience
Whittles down your stamina
Your courage, your trust, your hope
Never give in to cowardice
Keep your sense of reason
Brandish your sword of love and hope
For this foe is not invincible
He can be conquered, vanquished from your kingdom
Time and time again
But he does not give up
Though he may fight valiantly
To topple you from your throne
Use your weapons wisely
The sword of love and hope
The shield of wisdom and understanding
The armor of patience and trust
For these too are great weapons
Their power widely known but seldom used correctly
When used courageously and with valor
On the battlefield of life
They can make you victorious
Amid the wreckage of those who preceeded you
Do not take this foe lightly, no don’t you dare
For it is a long and trying fight
Never give up, realize your enemy can be beaten
For you too, are a formidable foe.

Any thoughts, ideas or comments? I've never shared this in public before and thought this would be a good place for it to be seen.

I'll do a bit of research on "Sympathetic Writing" and see what I come up with, thanks for the reply.
Would anyone think that this could have something to do with so-called "spirit guides" or maybe even something from past lives showing up?
