Would ET's look at us as we do sea creatures?

Just had a random thought to throw out there - might et(s) look at us as we do different species of sea creatures?

dolphins, whales, squid, etc have shown remarkable communication/intelligent behavior and yet we as humans see don't view them as a creature on par with people. they also live in a much different environment than we do...

this isn't meant to be a eco-rant (not that i don't dig dolphins and stuff) just a 'paradigm' thought...

Do you mean as less than human?
Do they consider us less than Grey?

Most likely. It could be universal.

But we also have humans who consider other humans less than themselves

There are some striking similarities indeed. To a creature of the abyss, a human-built submarine is an UFO: blinding floodlights, strange looking creatures protected by a glass dome (humans, a species never seen before in the depths). Sometimes these submarines abduct sea creatures randomly. They never stay down there for a long time. Many giant squids still doubt their existence.

Jacques-Yves Cousteau called his submarines "diving saucers".
