What abot that Robert Mugabe

www.amnesty.org

At least 150 people have been arrested since 14 April and on the morning of 18 April were detained in Harare Central police station alone.

Violence appears to be targeted at active supporters of the MDC and their families, particularly those in rural areas and low income suburbs where the MDC appears to have gained more votes than the ruling the Zimbabwe African National Union – Patriotic Front (ZANU-PF) party. Mashonaland East and West provinces have been particularly badly affected and numbers of reported incidents of violence are on the increase in Harare.

Victims report receiving death threats unless they vote "correctly" in a second round of voting should it be found that there was no outright winner of the presidential vote.

What the hell is going on in Zimbabwe? The country, once called the bread basket of Africa has been destroyed in only 28 years of Mugabes rule.

Inflation is over 150,000%!!!
it is estimated that between 80 and 99% of all wildlife has been wiped out as people struggle to avoid starvation.
Large scale commercial farms, which once produced surpluses of grain and food have been shut down and the land divided amongst "veterans" (most born since the end of the war) for subsistence farming. bread is now almost impossible to get.
the murdering and beating of those who chose to complain about their hardships.
Mr Mugabe lives in a huge mansion, travels in a mercedes limousine, has extensive off shore wealth, in english and swiss bank accounts
all of this whilst the people of zimbabwe starve and their country is reduced to ruins.
Thabo Mbeki, the most likely person to resolve the zimbabwe election scandal has his head firmly up his arse on the issue (as usual) thankfully Mr Zuma, the ANC president has decided to speak out.
How long is the world going to sit back and watch this happen, it is a tragedy.
