A humble request

Since I discovered this site, I've been particularly entertained by the collaborative fiction works produced by its members. I was wondering if I might be allowed the title of Writer, that I might start participating in these interesting and thought-provoking joint excercises... for a sample of my writing, see my short story "The Idea" in the Short Story forum.
