Why did you join?

I would like to know for the other mason's on this site, about why you decided to join Freemasonry or the motives behind it.

I decided to join ever since i was about 7 or so and found my fathers ritual book with all the weird codes and symbols that only masons could read, and ever since then i have been curious and always researched on masonry. I also saw the amazing things that they do for the community and how they played a big role in helping humanity(of course this is IMO), but nonetheless I have never regretted one day joining freemasonry, and it is true that we take good men and make them better.
