Not disappointed at all with the post here. Great information on advanced weapon technology.
I am a little disappointed with the handgun, though. The stopping power of .45 ACP renders the burst accuracy pointless, plus a three round burst in
a handgun, or any firearm is a waste of ammo in my book. One shot, one kill!
As far as the EMP making the weapon pointless, that is a very valid point, but right now, America may be the only ones with that technology. But if
so, not for long.
What I think is good is the lack of moving parts. A machine without moving parts is inherently going to be more reliable and last longer. Also, the
user recognition feature may make this weapon a more viable personal or home defense weapon, as it would prevent accidental discharge by children, and
if it were taken away by an assailant, it couldn't be used against the defender (except to pistol-whip them, which I think is the best use for a
handgun against a civilian). It also may put such argument by anti-gun advocates to rest!
One of the things I disliked the most when I was a grunt was carrying extra batteries for everything. That would probably be the one reason I
wouldn't choose this weapon. For combat, it's the M1911 or HK USSOCOM .45 for me.
