newbie from Seattle

wowzers what a site!!!! I'm a musician, with interests ranging from the sublime to the ridiculous...politics, philosophy, religion, and strangeness of every description.....once was an avid Coast to Coast listener..now only from time to time depending on the topic covered....politically I'm open to varied points of view and always appreciate an articulate argument regardless of which side of the fence it falls out on......philosophically I'm a go with the flow type of person though I've always had a soft spot for the Stoics
I live simply, don't own a car anymore (couldn't afford the insurance and the upkeep) got laid off from my day job and have reduced my possessions to the bare minimum - but I love my laptop
I am more or less retired now....which means I devote myself to my first love most of the time - music - and I just released a cd...that and 50cents might get me a phone call if I'm lucky I'm looking forward to some great discussions on here...

Scramjet - I live in Shoreline too! - but not for much longer - movin into the city when I find the right place...honestly, the burbs are a bit stifling for me - born and raised amid the concrete and I'm an empty nester so the burbs are doubly pointless for me....that said, Shoreline is pretty cool as burbs go
