Not trying to spam the site here, but I just wanted to share some exciting news that I have been anticipating for some time.
One of my favorite bands, Filter, will be releasing their fourth album titled "Anthems for the Damned" on 5/13.
Richard Patrick, front man for the band, and brother of Robert Patrick of Terminator and X-Files fame, has taken quite a bit of time to put together
this follow-up to 2002's "Amalgamut". The bands 2002 tour was subsequently cancelled due to Robert's struggles with alchohol.
Filter's blend of alt-metal music has always been that of driving, harmonic melodies mixed with concious undertones of the issues that are affecting
our world. Since I first discovered the band, I have always felt the relevance of thier music resonate inside me, and it has helped me through some
very dark times in my life. In many ways, it has helped to shape me into who I am today.
It is clear from listening to the first single, "Soldiers of Misfortune", that Filter is back, and the importance of thier message is one that is on
the forefront of the Nation's conciousness today.
Click the band's official site link, and the song will auto-play. Hope you dig, and see you at the show!
