I have to politely disagree. I think the oil/currency issue is more a mtter of pushing the u.s. economy down. The war itself is about strategic
military positioning.
With the U.S. economy suffering as it is, the continual rise in $ per barrel will obviously only help to further the decline.
With most citizens in poverty, or at the very least, scraping by, it is much easier to take away freedoms in the name of easing economic pressure on
the individual.
The war in the middle east is about nothing other than being in a military position to block the growing relationships between Russia, China & Iran.
