The smallest planet discovered outside our solar system has been found by Spanish scientists.

"I think we are very close, just a few years away, from detecting a planet like Earth," team leader Ignasi Ribas told a news conference.

Scientist are finding more and more of these palnets almost weekly at the present time, it won't be long before the find a planet that can or maybe holds life on it.

Will they have a way to confirm that there is water or something like that, that fosters life on one of these planets? Or would it just be that the planet is orbiting a star like ours, and is in close to the same position?
