College Student Builds His Very Own Tank

Kind of reminds me of the song "If I had a Bulldozer" (Heywood Banks, I believe)...

Foster figures his mini-weapon of doom cost about $10,000 to build, most of it on trial-and-error research. It runs on a three-cylinder diesel engine and has a 360-degree turret with a working cannon powered by an air tank that can fire golf balls and empty cans of Red Bull.

That's friggin awesome. I think it might be a much for a paintball field but cool nonetheless. His head looks ridiculous sticking out of the top..... I'm not saying I wouldn't give it a spin... I would be going everywhere in that tank. I'd just probably try to get my head inside neck cramps be damned.

Who the hell spends 10k on a tank that can only fire golf balls?

I can attach a potato gun to my car.. call it a tank and go shoot spuds at people. Would save me 10k.

Reminds me of the movie Animal House. I am really surprised that the police have been giving him a hard time. Seems like something they would make an example of. Guess it is street legal or they laugh too hard to write a ticket.
