Check this out, i thought this was a bit strange; on the notable names database website it shows under Bill gates profile that he belongs to both
"Obama for America" and the "Straight Talk America" presidential campaigns. If that wasn't weird enough, it also shows that he belonged to "John
Kerry for president" and "Bush-Cheney 04".
There really isn't much of a difference between the two parties. So, instead of one big contribution, split it and contribute to both sides. Makes
no difference in the end.
It shows how corrupt the entire process is. The supposed "richest man in the world" backing the two obvious front-runners for President. No matter
which side wins, the agenda moves forward without any hiccups.
Not strange really, Steve Wynn (of Las Vegas Wynn) said something about this matter in an interview with CNN International (Talk Asia).
It is a common practice for wealthy businessmen in the US to support political parties. It's 'patriotism'.
You don't have to look at it cynically. Big businesses dare not arouse the ire of powerful politicians, who could make life hard for them if they
thought they were supporting the opposition.
So big businessmen support all the leading parties in an election.
It doesn't just happen in America. It happens in every democracy where public contributions to political parties and campaigns are legal.
