I had a dream some time ago & think maybe some of the ATS community could have some valuable input on solving it.

I dreamt that I was in a garden (I worked for a rose garden park at the time). I was alone & it was a cloudy day. I looked up & saw a person in the tree line. I know who this person is though I have never met him personally, But I did recognize him. He was the brother of a boy that my grandmother was a foster parent to before I was born... he ran away, but both him & his brother had been molested as children.. anyway... for some reason I got a very foreboding feeling about this sighting.. I yelled in my dream that if he wanted me he better give it hios best shot & come get me (I think I was borderline on a lucid dream because it was almost like I knew I was dreaming... at that time A very heavy fog rolled in he stepped back into the trees... the fog came in so hard & fast I could feel it .,.. the fog was solid it reminded me of cotton in texture... in fact it pressed so hard on me I couldnt breathe & I woke up gasping for air because I was choking....

Interesting. Now, although I dont lend much credibility to those "dream books", I do own a few. Of all the dreams I have had, there has only been one where the book was close to being right. Do dreams have a hidden meaning? I am not sure. They could hold some special message or they could just be projections from our subconscious, being nothing more than unsurfaced thoughts. So, I think the only person who can tell you if your dream means anything is you. What do you think about it? Because of this dream, have you learned anything new or has it brought you some new insight on some previously unanswered question? Or maybe it has just raised more questions? In any event, I think dreams are unique to the individual, and no general meaning can be applied to any one dream. Just MHO

I completely agree, but I stiil would like to hear others ideas because I anm at a loss... I have been speaking to my therapist about it but she is really sure eaither... there really wasnt anything going on at the time to warrant such a dream.... but yet that was a few years ago & the dream still haunts me
especially that I could literally feel the fog & woke up not breathing.

Someone in your family from the generation the boys were part of is responsible for or knew of the molestation & didn't do anything about it.

Justice & acknowledgement has yet to be fulfilled.

why would feel that he wanted you or try to get you?
was he a bad person?

well odd thin g is the molestation happened before they took custody.. in fact that is why my grandmother became the foster parent But the one from my dream ran away before child services stepped in... alos interestingly enough they were american indian... that is why I wonder abt the message behind it...
