"MEXICO CITY - The biggest markets for U.S. beef around the world slammed shut Wednesday amid fears about a suspected case of mad cow disease in the United States, as Mexico, Japan and South Korea closed their borders to U.S. beef."

www.newsday.com...

With some already fighting over food, seems to be a bit cautious to ban, most likely needed, beef. Hell... don't they eat dog in Korea?

I quit eating cow almost 20 years ago but for maybe 2-3 burgers when I was next to starving and a tiny bit of beef jerky. I guess it only takes one exposure though. John Titor said mad Cow would be huge in the future (not that I buy that whole story but we conspiracists mention that sort of thing).

In Russ Kicks book - Everything you know is wrong - under the chapter Bovine Bioterrorism and the Perfect Pathogen, it discusses at length how the infectious prion (Mad Cow) is actually a protein and not a living organism, which is capable of withstanding conditions which would kill any other known pathogens.

It is shown to withstand temperatures in excess of 1,000 degrees farenheit, can jump species barriers, evade the immune system and replicate itself in victims whose very bodies remain infectious.

Even HIV is neutralized by boiling water but routine sterilization procedures are ineffective against this protein which destroys brain tissue by filling it with spongy holes.

The contention is that there is no way possible that the US beef industry was able to contain the spread of this protein (Mad Cow) and as opposed to shutting down the beef industry all together, they just quite simply didn't tell the public about the problem and continued to provide them with the tainted beef.

Fits is very nicely with the eugenics program doesn't it?

BEEF - It's whats for dinner!

I don't know if you noticed but this article that you point to was written back in 2003.

the 3 looks like an 8?
I will still steer clear of eating cow as I have a real beef with the way they have dung things in regard to food safety. Not to mention animal welfare, hormones, blah blah etc etc.

The topic is apparently being revisited - I believe the OP wanted to remind you what you have been exposed to all this time - kind of closing the barn door behind the horse - but hey, better late than never.
