Shelden Nidle = no creditability - so no mass fly overs

I am posting this thread in direct response to the post: A M a s s i v e UFO Fly Over Event COMING SOON!!!!
particularly since the original post indicates that Shelden Nidle is one of the contacts.

In case you don't know, Shelden Nidle has been flogging his stuff on the internet for quite a few years. Basically Nidle is the equivalent of a TV Evangelist - more interested in profits rather than saving anyone.

For example, back in 1996/97 Shelden Nidle proclaimed on his website (www.paoweb.com...) a whole bunch of things were supposed to happen.

First, there was to supposed to be a mass landing of flying saucers on Dec 17 1996, followed by our planet moving into the "Photon Belt" by the end on 1996. Then, on May 5 1997, the "comet" Hale-Bopp was to have delivered 10,000 "ambassadors" to their Australian colony. The rest of Nidle's "updates" are quite hilarious, as he tries to explain why the promised landings never materialized.

So in short, this guy is a phony! So if you want to post threads with any creditability may I suggest you do not use Shelden Nidle as a source.

Go figure ehh. It seems the same people at this forum continually believe such hogwash, and even when all this stuff never eventuates, their belief systems don't fluctuate one bit. Not very logical at all. It mystifies me! This is what leads me to believe that if they weren't into new age UFO cults, it would probably be some other religious cult because they need some kind of "crutch" in life.

IMHO it's just easier to believe in yourself!

Faith flies in the face of rationality. Because faith requires no proof - only blind belief. It's the same sort of unquestioning faith that gives birth to millions of con men and confidence tricksters. If there wasn't a huge market of gullibles, the con artists simply wouldn't exist. Like they say, "there's a sucker born every minute".

It's also a great way to shirk off responsibility and blame it on something else, or put it in the hands of something else.

Of course I believe in Aliens/UFO's etc otherwise I wouldn't be here but I require more proof than heresy. Some just require a self proclaimed 'guru" (essentially a stranger) and accept everything they say as gospel.

It's both hilarious and frightening!

I am disappointed, but not at all surprised. I mean, I highly doubt we would know about mass UFO flyovers before they even happen.
