A moment of complete solitude

Several years ago I was standing outside. My father was in the front yard toiling over some weeds and my mother was inside the house. I lived in a busy neighborhood and people walked up and down the side walk. As I was wondering around, I heard a loud noise, like a bug or something vibrating and I felt the ground shake. I looked up and everyone was gone. There were no more people walking, my father was gone. I was completely alone. I ran towards the house and the sound stopped as I reached the porch. My mother was standing inside and my father was still outside but I swear that he wasnt there moments before. I still cant explain what happened. I am in perfect health. I thought this might be a good place to gather some opinions.

Solvo, this sounds like a "time slip" of sorts.
(We have a thread about that, in case you're interested. ; ))

I am very interested in such things. All the more so, because something like that - albeit MUCH less spectacular - happened to me in Venice (Italy, not California). All of the sudden, there was nobody there, in the entire city - at least that's how it felt. It was eerie beyond description - and wonderful.

But your experience seems to have been something else.
Did you discuss it with your parents?
Or did you hear of anyone else having such an experience?

I hope somebody else can shed more light on it with - perhaps - a similar experience?
Or a theory?

Anyway, I definitely think you came to the right place.

I remember reading about a similar case in a book - but I don't remember which one was it.
If anyone does, I'd appreciate if you let me know. ; )

thanks a lot for responding. I never discussed it with myh parents. It was like I was the only one in the world. If anyone had any similar experiences please share them.
