I was reading a blog this morning regarding the so-called retirement of the F-117. The interesting part about this was that it posed the theory the possible release of newer aircraft usually follows this type of announcement. Anyway, there were a few links regarding blimp type technology which are currently in existence or about to be released to the market. I particularly found the following link of interest.

Pay attention to the colored spheres. Could this be the orbs that some people are seeing in the night skies? The colors look strikingly familiar.

I appologize if I have done this incorrectly as its my first time.

Great find GeneralLee. Certainly could explan some orb(ish) sightings. I think that it's a great idea to keep up with new technology that could be mistaken for a ufo.

S&F for the find.

Starred and Flagged. Very compelling idea for many sightings. The interior cockpit could look like a porthole at night under the right conditions. A little hollywood makeup and you got yourself a UFO with aliens inside. I will have to revisit the Turkey UFO where they claimed to catch aliens inside the ship on tape.

By the way, I'm sure somebody will ask, so here is the link to the blog article with additional links to other sites. I followed it from the CTC site. He states that the F-117 has been around since 1981? That would certainly be compelling evidence for some of the UFO sightings back in the early eighties.

I also seem to remember a thread on ATS showing an green orb like this where when enlarged seemed to show a person on the inside as if it were see through. Anybody remember that?

Anyway, enjoy and I would also like everyones take on his theory regarding the release of new information following the retirement of an older aircraft technology? As he states "stealth" seems to be common knowledge these days...who knows maybe it's time to throw us another bone?

Hmmm, it seems when a theory is posed showing real technology instead of a blurry blob, no one is interested in discussion? Can't debunk reality eh? Started off with a bang though....hehe

Oh well, back to your faces in the rocks on mars thread. Meanwhile I'll go look for some more "real" evidence.

My cousin who is in the U.S. Airforce told me once that they have actually been around since the early 70's. His Father, an intelligence officer in the marine core , said he saw things that fit the F-117 description flying overhead when he was in Vietnam......I'm not saying that their word is the gospel or anything like that, its just an interesting little bit of info.

How fast can these things actually fly and what type of maneuverability do they have? It most certainly accounts for at least one UFO sighting i'm sure. Heck, If i saw one of these things before reading this post I would be freaked out thinking I saw a giant glowing UFO.
Good post that any UFO junkie should be aware of.

I can't help but think that ALOT of UFO sightings are nothing more than the following.....

www.21stcenturyairships.com...

A Voyager Airship also has fins but without control surfaces and their sole purpose is to stabilize the airship during flight. Steering and altitude controls are achieved through differential and directed thrust from the engines/propellers. This makes a Voyager Airship extremely maneuverable at any speed from zero to full. It can even accomplish vertical take-offs and landings (VTOL) similar to a helicopter. A Voyager Airship requires only one or two ground crew members to assist during landing and take-off.

The next stage of the development will be a series of test-flights reaching an altitude of 40,000-ft.

Ultimately these UAVs will be "parked" in the stratosphere at an altitude of approximately 20-km (65,000-ft.). At that altitude, they will serve as a stable platform for telecommunications and remote sensing.

The Globe, a 56-ft. diameter spherical airship, seating pilot and one passenger.

www.21stcenturyairships.com...

An airship prepares for lift-off in the early morning. Soon these airships could be providing important services such as security, transportation and telecommunications platforms.

www.21stcenturyairships.com...

There are many uses for our spherical airships, such as aerial advertising, sightseeing, heavy lifting, providing a security platform.

By the way.....I am a believer....I have seen a UFO. Just don't know if it was ours or not. Look at some of the descriptives and think back on the sightings....and this is just one company!!!!!

Excellent thread. If someone is interested in UFOs, they have to keep up-to-date on operational aircraft - there are no two ways about it. This is a great bonus to everyone who's interested, myself included!

Cheers!
