Spores the only Intergalactic DNA enhancing Mutator

Since psilocybin bearing mushrooms have such a dramatic relashonship
with human evolution (a great explanation for the missing link) and
are able to remain viable on the solar winds for millions of years
how do we not see that as evidence of organic alien intelligence?

As I understand it the ability to transform the dna of a young budding lifeform on a planet from millions of light years away would be the ultimate universal power move.
