Flying low

I don't know whether this has already posted here or not; just thought of sharing this one; just see how low they fly their aircraft; amazing isn't it?

You can get your wings clipped if you do it in a commercial jet..........

A Cathay Pacific pilot has been dismissed for making a low-level airfield fly-by in January that the airline says was unauthorized.

On Jan. 30, Ian Wilkinson, 55, who is the airline’s chief pilot, was dispatched to Seattle to collect one of the airline’s new flagship planes and bring it to Hong Kong, with dozens of crew members and special guests aboard to celebrate the voyage.

But once he cleared the runway in the new long-range Boeing 777-300 ER, he banked after takeoff, made a return approach to the airstrip, came in very low and climbed away again.

Busted for a foolish maneuver that not only endangered the equipment, but also endangered the lives of passengers on board. One of those passengers being the CEO of the airline.:shk:

Those Mig images seem fake to me. The Mig is level AoA only several feet from the ground.

It's not a fake. There are many pics of the same stunt from different angles and by different people. There are tons of them on airliners.net

Anyone feel like I should add this as a post to the debunk thread? Maybe should change the title to debunk/confirmed thread lol. Anyways I have indeed seen these photos for the first time last year 06 summer of this stunt and it definitely is real. So many angle so many diff photographers etc.

I didn't even notice, It's just one of things that you do subconsciously.

Also, those pictures are pretty interesting seeing as how they are apparently real.

There not `apparantly` real - they are real! airliners.net ahve about 60 photos from that display from 10 different angles

To my knowledge, that aircraft is a Su-27UB. There seem to be a fair few pictures of that pass, so I think that a fake is unlikely. If it was faked, it's an impressive job worthy of the attention anyway.

Still a badass picture anyway .
