and i think that many ignorant people will listen to him like all the other times he says dumb bs like this. people need to get smart and wake up.

I quess I don't understand how people can think that the actions taken by the telecoms are alright. They have a contract to protect their customers privacy and not release any personal information and certainly not let anyone tape and listen to their personal calls. If they can violate the contract then why can't the customer as well? You signed a two year contract but they gave out personal information so the contract should be null and void. You should be able to find another carrier. The problem is can you find anyone that doesn't give your information away when the G men come knocking.

More proof that Bush is completely out of touch with reality and living in a bubble.

We can't get rid of him fast enough. Maybe then we can get our civil rights back.

Bah, just more empty rhetoric to get people ready for the presidential pardon (for the telecom companies) thats around the corner.

Bush ought to say Thank You as he is thrown into an institution for the criminally insane.

That, or maximum security prison. It is incredible that he is allowed to continue to live his fictive delusions without challenge or demands for accountability.

HaHa, A patriotic duty? The last thing I will do is say thank you to Bush and the telecom companies for violating mine and others privacy rights. If they needed this info so badly and they were sure of the people they would have gotten subpoenas for the info. I seriously think this guy is retarded sometimes.

I can just see Bush "thanking" such a murderous prick.

This is absolutely ridiculous. We have laws, a Constitution, and the Bill of Rights which need to be followed if we are to remain "The Land of the Free, and the Home of the Brave". It is not "patriotic" for any individual, company, or administration to go "vigilante", break those laws, and take matters into their own hands.

Thank you Tele com companies for making my world a little safer. I have never said anything on the phone or in email that I wouldnt say in public so I guess it doesnt bother me.

Thank you border patrol / airport security for making my world a little safer. I have never tried to sneak anything across the border or on a plane so I guess it doesnt bother me.

perhaps bush should thank the lowly citizens for being the backbone of the country,and they might return the sentiment to him and his.the people are the ones being protected right,the people are the nation!.there the ones buying and producing the oil that has made his family rich.

i dont think he values your average american,being a billionaire his whole life,disconnected from there lives,he doesnt know what its like to be one,thus i believe he places little value on them hence the exploitation.i believe that is the problem with the elites,there so disconneted they have no understanding or empathy for those in lesser stations.i say it is the elites duty to guide the less fortunate,to set the example.to be the benevolent shepards of the flock.

Thank you telcoms. Due to having to update account information I see that you have quite a bit of personal information at your finger tips such as what vehicle is registered at what address according to the BMV, which elementary school I attended, who may have been a current or previous cohabitor at my current residence.

I will also be sure to "thank you" in a different and special way should that personal information be hacked as a part of identity thieft. I also appreciate the $220 credit you have given me to upgrade my old phone to a GPS trackable phone in the event that emergency or law enforcement agencies need to find me. You know in case I am in an accident and unable to give my location or that my "expertise" is needed to catch an exceptionally attractive nymphomanic international jewel thief or some such thing.
