Aura Goggles

Saw these on eBay. They look like a hacked pair of laser safety goggles. Anyone have a pair of these? What can you see?

Link is broken? "The page cannot be found" (it's working now)

I've never heard of aura viewing goggles. I'm reminded of those glasses in 'Thirteen Ghosts' that allows the humans to see ghosts!!! I wonder if such glasses exist and work. I'd love to have a working pair!

I apologize for the double post, but I just had the chance to view them. They're pretty damn cheap which leads me to question their effectiveness. A friend of mine went to this therapy seminar several months back and they discussed auras. She told me they photographed a leaf and its aura. They cut a 'finger' of the leaf and took another picture. The aura was the same shape, even after a piece was removed.

Perhaps these goggles actually work. I may have to try 'em out.

So that means it was real? Or not? I'm not sure what you are saying there.

Oh, I believe in auras. I was simply passing on some information about them. I think it's fascinating that the aura doesn't change shape even if the 'object' is changed. Remarkable.

Please keep in mind, I did not attend this seminar so I'm relying on my friend's feedback.

What you're thinking of is called Kirlian photography, and is a proven and well-documented, if somewhat obscure, branch of science.

However, it is my opinion that Kirlian imaging does not take a picture of an object's "aura", but, rather, an etheric or extradimensional imprint of sorts, differing from an aura in that a) it conforms to the exact shape of the object, and b) all Kirlian images are in the same color, whilst auras tend to vary depending on the health and well-being of the subject.

Auras are real but if you want to see them try and do it without aid.

Aura goggles sound hokey imo.
I looked at Indrid's links, and read about them. It sounded familiar, and a trip to skepdic.com confirmed it...

Under ordinary circumstances, auras are only visible to certain people with special psychic power. However, with a little bit of training, or with a special set of Aura Goggles with "pinacyanole bromide" filters (available at your local New Age Head Shop), anyone can see auras. You may also use Kirlian photography to capture auras on film. At least that is what New Age spiritualists believe.

On the other hand, you may also see auras if you have a migraine, a certain form of epilepsy, a visual system disorder or a brain disorder. Most aura training exercises involve staring at an object placed against a white background in a dimly lit room. What one sees is due to retinal fatigue and other natural perceptual processes, not the unleashing of hidden psychic powers. Something similar happens when you stare at certain colored or black and white patterns. Vision is not the verbatim recording of the outside world. When looking at a colored object, for example, the eye does not transmit to the brain a continuous series of duplicate impressions. The brain itself supplies much of the visual perception.

I believe in auras and the like, just not the aura goggles. They're a trick to make you think you are seeing them.

That said, I've never tried them myself, but all evidence points to

The goggles are nothing more than a special filter that makes seeing the em field around your body easier. Once you are able to see the distinction the goggles are no longer needed.

You'll have to practice then on your own to see any other distinictions such as color and so forth.
