I received this picture from a friend. The town that is being spoken of is about 20 minutes away from me. I can verify that many teens have lot their lives on those backroads. I messed around with the image in photoshop for awhile and I couldn't find anything particularly telling.

My first thought was double exposure, which is rare on digital cameras, but quite possible. My second thought is a fake, but no signs immediately point to it. It looks as if there were two other people in the frame that were either moving in or out while the exposure was being taken. Here is the entire story. The image is linked afterwards, and it is full quality.

From left to right - Brooke Keel, Alex Wolf, Courtney Gilmore and Kristyn Kolacek – Seniors at West High School, were driving Valentines night and decided to stop on the back road that goes by the cemetery in West. They decided to take a picture of themselves and put the camera on the tailgate. The camera picked up the red lights of the taillights.

This should also be noted – Father Anthony in West has had a serious problem with the number of deaths of West students in the recent past due to alcohol, etc. A prayer group has started to meet every week to pray that God puts angels on the back roads in West to protect the students. The opinion of some in West is that these are the angels of the two Nick boys who recently died, apparently having some fun with the girls.

No, but digital cameras in low light can have incredibly slow shutter speeds. More than long enough for a bunch of hot-ish chicks (and some dudes in back) stand in front of a car's headlights for a second or so and then run off to the sides.

Like Nohup says,

If you keep the shutter open at night, anything that reflects light and moves, the final picture will show that objects entire path.

It looks like both the girls came running in from both sides, first stood up, then bent down. Its like a time lapse, you can really see everything if you look.

If you look closely the "angel" has the same rolled up sleeves as the person below.

They are the same person, just and open shutter caught her moving.

Interesting picture however...

Sorry, no paranormal explanation.

it is a double exposure but it looks more like they took the "angel" part with a really light filter then took the second exposure with a normal setting.
that must be a pretty sweet camera.

It’s a neat picture, but as has been mentioned already its nothing more then a motion blur. Do these new digital cameras automatically adjust their shutter speed in low light conditions?

It seems like we have seen a few of these types of pictures on here recently.

This is strange to me just because I'd think the foreground would be more overexposed. And where is this red light coming from? The picture looks spooky even without the motion bur.

2 second exposure. Nothing unusual in the pic.

Supposedly the girls were the only ones there. If you look closely at the "angel image" on the right side it is of a male. I blew it off as a double exposure but none of the other images on the camera have any males in them. I will see if I can get some more details from my friend who received the image from one of the girls.

Now this is interesting! The person standing on the right is most definetely a boy! The one standing on the left might also be a boy. Now either these 4 girls were alone or there were also two boys. If they were alone.....than the two other persons must be uh ghosts... But I think this was just a prank. Anyways, the boy on the right has a distinctive face. Somebody must recognize him! The text speaks about two deceased boys, does anybody know how they looked?

Well according to my friend, one of the girls parents actually saw the image on the camera first, and asked the daughter about it. The daughter didn't realize the images in the background. They then took the camera to a local photo studio Padgett's here in Waco. They stated that the image had not been tampered with.

My friend also stated that that girl refuses to sleep alone and thinks she is going to die. I trust this friend and he and his family are close to the source of this image.

The girls stated that they were alone and that no others were on the road with them. When I saw the image I just assumed there were two boys there with them and they were either moving into or out of the picture when it was taken. Either this is the case or there is something paranormal in that picture.

One thing I did notice. The flash on the camera went off, it illuminated the tailgate of the truck where the camera was sitting, but it did not illuminate the girls.

I will try to get more information. Any other thoughts in the meantime?

looking at the way those girls are posing, who ever is in the photo looks like he's onto a good thing, maybe he was a just passing through and remembering how frisky things used to be here on planet earth - either way good luck to him

To me it looks like the camera was posted up in the back of a car, the red light would presumably be from the tailights and the overexposure due to improper settings or a cheep camera...

I can't add much to the conversation but I would have to say that it looks like possibly the tailgate stopped the flash from expanding towards the girls. I also agree that the 'angel' on the right looks male and I don't see at all how it could be two of the girls moving. My old digi cam had a 3 second shutter speed, I couldn't figure out how to fix it, and not once did any of the blurred pictures look like that. It is an amazing picture and I hope that it's proof of angels, though I don't need proof to believe in them, and I do believe in them.

Just my .02
