now a question:

in picture number 7 , it is clearly visable both a SAM and GUN CIWS - cookie for identifying them and why don`t US carriers have both?

Umm... US Carriers have multiple Phalanx systems as well as several ESSM launchers. And several carriers have had their Phalanx systems already replaced with RAM missile launchers.

Thank you for the pictures

Interesting looking ship. To me, a layman, that looks about the size (actually a tad smaller) of a British carrier, or possibly a Marine Expeditionary Carrier.

Am I close?

Nope, Kuznetzov is 67,000 tons, 991 feet long.

She is a bit smaller than US supercarriers (which displace about 100,000 tons), but significantly bigger than any other carrier outside the US Navy.
