ET's Scared of the Dark?

I believe in the existence of extraterrestrial life.

If they are visiting us, I am not sure on way or the other. This question may have been answered before but I couldn't think of a way of searching so I will just ask.


If ET is visiting us, he obviously doesn't want us to know he is here, because no matter what our inferior governments tried to do he could pretty much do what he wants.

So the question is, he is extremely advanced. He can traverse space, and even possibly time. He doesn't want us to know he's here, give or take. So how come he leaves his lights on so we can see him flying around at night???

Even better, with that kind of technology, why would they need lights in the first place. Somehow i think with the speed that UFOs if they exist could reach, what practical purpose would these lights have? Its not like visual recognition at those kind of speeds would prevent accidents.
