hello .

this is a thought (one of many) i had while lying in bead last week.

Im not religious in the slightest, dont preach anything or really want to follow anything, but i am intrested in reading about the history and what their actualy about .

i was mulling over the ideas about jesus being a symbolisation of the sun when it came to me, what if they were on the right track but wrong.

after thinking i realised, their is one thing on earth that gives life, its everywhere, lit lives in the sky (so to speak, and nothing would be here with out it (well, nothing as we know it) .. and thats our atmosphere!

and they are also the main traits of most gods in popular religion?

is it possible many 10000's of years ago people worshiped out atmosphere as without that nothing would be here .

Well, with that logic sun would be even greater god

No, just joking, IMO what you are saying to be god, is part of it. The greatest creator is universe itself
I think you are near to what can be called Cosmological Argument of God's Existence, reasoned by Thomas Aquinas amongst others.

Framed as an informal proof, the first cause argument can be stated as follows:

1. Every finite and contingent being has a cause.
2. Nothing finite and dependent (contingent) can cause itself.
3. A causal chain cannot be of infinite length.
4. Therefore, there must be a first cause; or, there must be something that is not an effect.

If we use Cosmological argument with your variables, we end up reasoning that universe is the reason behind the life itself?
