I really feel sorry for white South Africans, especially todays generation who had nothing to do with Apartheid, the land grab has already started in South Africa where white farmers lands are being taken away, and now whites are starting to be banned from political conferences of the ANC...whats next for these poor sods...

And i speak with genuine concern as a former white south african

I am not a rabid racist or anything, but it makes you really wonder if Apartheid may have been more logical than people like to think. No one seems to want to talk about reverse-racism. Racism isn't wrong just on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Neither am I, but you can't help but notice what's happening in that country, I mean as a former white south african i keep tabs on whats happening back there as often as i can, and i have to tell you, not once have I felt bad or sad for leaving that country....

You want to know what I think should happen ??

There are about 4.4 Million whites in south africa, and i think the UK and the rest of Europe should stand up and take responsibility for the past the same as the current white south africans have to do now, and these european nations should give political asylum to ALL whites if they want it...

then the blacks can have their precious land back all to themselves....

I work with several white SA'ers who seem to feel the same as you. Many can claim citizenship, either directly or ancestrally. I have seen a marked increase in SA whites in the UK over the past decade, so it does seem like you're all pretty much welcome to come back home.

I wouldn't object, you guys are far more welcome than the tide of unskilled Eastern Europeans of Africans we are inundated with...

Sounds like a logical idea. Freed American slaves got to go back to Africa and founded Liberia. It's a sad situtation really though. A huge step back for race-realtions on a global scale. I'd be willing to bet there are a lot of whites that just don't want to "go back" to Europe though, who see Africa as their only home. The whole world screamed "end Apartheid" like everything would be hunky-dory after that. Just like people in America today really belive that the US Civil War was about ending slavery. It took another hundred years for the civil rights movement to happen and for the blacks to be allowed to vote in this country.

Again, I don't want anyone to misunderstand me. I am no advocate for slavery. But the fact is that the sudden end of slavery in the US southern states devasted the economy, and left no opportunity for the freed slaves to prosper. A graduated end to slavery would have been the best thing to do. Instead, Americans on north and south, black and white, are still suffering from a forced and failed policy.

I think everyone knows that Apartheid had to end, but to have the timetable dictated by global opinion, by people who had no idea what they were talking about, was a mistake. But of course, I could be very wrong. After all, I am not from Africa, I am an American.

In the end though, I don't think people should have their lands taken away because of their race, no matter what continent they live on.

Yes, many white people can claim citizenship or ancestry, but I wasn't one of those lucky ones, by grandparents were born in South Africa, so i was excluded from that rule, i was however allowed the 2 year working holiday, and i loved every second i spent in London, i love the country....but in th end I had to choose to emigrate to Australia...and I got to say it too, it's such a awesome country..

And yeah, 90% of whites in south africa are VERY hard working and skilled enough to contribute to whichever country they decide to go to.

Yeah, but put it this way....the Africans don't want us whites here, at all, this is not America, like u said, this is Africa, and yeah i have to agree this is their land more than it is ours i suppose, but i say let them have it, those whites who choose to stay, let them stay, they will just be killed off one by one like they did in zimbabwe....

Anyway, besides all that, with BEE over there whites don't have nearly as much oppertunity as they had a short while ago, a buddy of mine who is still there worked at a company for 3 years, and was even being trained for a managerial position there, in the end they gave the position to a black guy with NO previous experience whatsoever....and now, 2 years later the company is going bankrupt...

Where are the outraged students, governments, trades unions etc in the west- they stay tight lipped while south africa begins its slow descent into Zimbabwe.

This is nasty, insidious racism- ironically, most of the people with black skni who now reside in South Africa are "immigrants" from other parts of Africa (whether second, or third generation etc)- yet they automatically are considered "African" because of their darker skin.

I hope the white south africans are not forced out, but if they are, Id gladly take them in the UK, and perhaps we can do a trade.......

Well i used to be very, well, not racist, but when i lived here you could not help but get angry about whats happening to your country and you as a white person who had nothing to do with apartheid, i was a little 7 year old kid at that time...

Instead of the government turning around, and stopping racism, they go and turn it against us whites, now we are all leaving the country at an alarming rate and taking our valuable work skills and experience with us to another country, so south africa is in deep trouble, and i am one of them, i now supply my IT consultant skills to a company in Melbourne, where I am respected and appreciated at least...

But i heard that the S.A government is going to try and stop immigration of whites, because too many nurses, doctors and teachers are leaving and s.a currently has a severe shortage of those skills, i don't know what their gonna do to stop it..


but i do know they are planning on making it real difficult, they alleady made it very hard for doctors and nurses to leave...
