Many still see him as the figure of character that took Cuba away from the corrupt rule imposed by the coorporations and the mafia.

Others see him as the despotic one that twisted a change that supposedly was for more Liberty to the first Communist regime of the Americas and overseas.

He has been loved and hated with equal intensity, by followers and detractors. What it is clear is that No body never will forget him, and that includes CIA.

He was the only Enemy of the American capitalism that was never defeated, Isomething neither Emperors Franz Joseph, William II, Hirohito, as well as Hitler, Mussolini, Bin Laden, Hussein, Khadafy couldn't say.

Now, even his so much famous claim that History was going to absolve him is true, the visits of President Barack Obama, Popes John Paul II, Francis I and even Nobel Peace award Juan Manuel Santos of Colombia, the country that acused and arrested him first time as Terrorist in 1948 has made it already a fact.

Definitively this is the death of a major figure of History either if we like or dislike him, he has left a so deep mark in the XX and XXI centuries, after him no body will ever see again Latin America as a prospect for colonialism or a third class subcontinent with no important role in History..

Even he was able to see without losing dignity the advance of an agenda of modernization since 2008 carried out by his brother Raul, that have handled aperture to a new era of private investments in Cuba, the tolerance of minor trading activities in between Cubans, the normalization of relations with America, as well as to the restoration of religious liberties, without losing at all control of power.

Now, in one way or other the trend to democratization of Cuba is un stoppable, either pushed by the internal reform with better distribution of political power leaded by Raul Castro or by the strengthening of the antimarxist opposition backed by the exile that today celebrates Fidel death in the streets of the small Havana sector of Miami.

At just less than two Years from the death of Fidel Castro-Ruz, supreme commander of the Cuban Revolution, his brother is No Longer President of Cuba Anymore, he has surrendered the office that once was also of his brother to a not charismatic politician that lack of also the strength to maintain United his people around a popular leadership.

Miguel Díaz-Canel is aware that he lacks of the necessary mystic that his predecessors had in abundance and although today while taking office showed that he is planning to maintain the same political line that has prevailed under Raul, he will face challenges that in the long run would force him to redirect drastically the Political process in Cuba, as well as the unfolding of the economic reforms.

Miguel is going to be as his Soviet counterpart of the same name ( Mikhail Gorbachev) a leader that will begin a path of reforms that are planned to assure the continuation of the Communist model in Cuba but in the long run will go out of control and will produce the completely opposite outcome.

Strong tyrannies of the rule of only one man in History never have survived the disapparition of the maximun Leader, that was the case of Stalin, Mao, Franco and HItler. Cuba is not going to be the exception of the rule. Many today see in Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez a loyalist and continuator of the Castros, but the fate is going to decide that his time will be completely different than the past that remains now as History.

Mikhail Gorbachev was also chosen in 1985 as new Soviet leader precisely for his immaculate Marxist Leninist credentials, it was difficult for many to foresee that the USSR was at just 6 years of his complete collapse.
