Spy satellite shot down by the U.S military

I found this out today and was pretty intrested in it. I heard that someone saw the satellite falling from the sky on febuary 20th 2008, during the lunar eclipse.

WASHINGTON — U.S. President George W. Bush has sent warships to shoot down a crippled spy satellite in a last-ditch effort to avert an unpredictable re-entry that could spew deadly poison gas across populated areas, the Pentagon announced yesterday.

I also heard that since they shot it down, the pieces are going to be falling over canada.
