While this is certainly a scary proposition for the athletic world, the benefits found in this study would certainly appear to be a boon for those
suffering from various muscular disorders, as well as preventing the muscular breakdowns often associated with aging. In the strict view of this
project's goal, the preliminary findings appear to be pointing toward success.
I would have to wonder how long it would be until this project is looked at by the military for enhancing field performance, particularly for Special
Ops units. There's always the possibility that there is a secret use of some form of this technology by the military to begin with though.
