With the new particle accelerator due to be completed one scientist recently went on record saying they will be making particles travel through time....are we opening pandora's box....

Steven Hawkins once said that once we start time travel on earth anyone or any being with this technology will be able to send particles or even time travel themselves....

Exciting times ahead agreed... however i cant help but think that this is crazy...

Look at the technology and the type of craft6s we use to get into space and planetary exploration...it's as bad as noahs ark imo.

Now we are gonna start destabalising matter and start messing with time?

Am i the only one who thinks we are running before we can walk?

As exciting as that will be it is pretty dangerous. Say the experiments got to were they could send microscopic organisms through time whats to stop future bacteria travelling back to our time? Say a new strain of disease that could be harmless in the future but is deadly to our present immune system?

If, in the future we could send back a disease, well...it's already been done.
Unless of course it happened in another dimension, or fork of time.

That would be really forked up!

If we forked up the time continuum, it would also affect the future, perhaps in such a way that (if we destroyed the future) we could not send anything like that back.

Even if we sent particles back in time, the butterfly effect would change the course of everything, what if the life we live now is affected by people from the future messing with time, they should be well aware that they could also cause great harm to themselves, maybe never even existing because there ancestors never met like they were supposed to.

My brain is overheating...end post.

Not sure about time travel, but the particle stuff makes sense; what if
you could order a pizza online, and it "materializes" on your table?

The science of molecular break-down & re-assembly is probably next.

"Beam me up, Scotty" didn't work out too well for Jeff Goldblum, in
'The Fly'!
