why am I getting a 403 ERROR ??

ok this time without the link as a cross reference.
(apparently cross-referencing to another forum site is a no no)


but when i try to go to GLP , I always get a 403 ERROR
"You are not authorized to view this page"

all I`m asking is for someone/anyone to see if its just me or
has that site been taken down/removed?

Don't know what GLP is but its probably a mistake on the webmaster's end. OR they ran out of bandwidth for said month.

You pay for an allotted amount of data transferred and if something is popular they often go over and you would receive 403. Don't panic

I just tried, and got the same ole 403
I have not been able to view it for several months.
I have never been a member ,so I don`t think i could get banned .

It's possible that your IP was banned, even if you're not a memeber, it's possible to get your IP. Who knows, maybe you ticked off the webmaster somehow.

for the life of me I cannot imagine why they won`t let me in.
all i`ve ever done is go there and read. nothing more to add.

Try running through a proxy.

www.google.com.au...

Try third result, and others. If it works there, then you've been banned for some reason.

I did the proxy thing...and it let me in..

so

why in the world would I be banned if I`m not even a member there?
and I have never posted there either..

Could be your IP range is banned, say they had some trouble with a particular ISP or location so they ban the whole IP range used. Where are you from?

You know sometimes all I need to do is take a break and come back to it later with a fresh vision of the problem...

I did google this and found it interesting , but not all that clear as to how to solve your problem. I always call my ISP when I have problems, they always help me out of stuff like errors and what nots that come up.
