Ok... Last night, Feb 16th, I went outside to get the mail cause I forgot to get it. After I got it I looked up to see the star and off to the side I saw what I thought was a star at first. After I looked at it for a second and I noticed that it was flashing red and blue colors. Then I thought what a weird plane. But it didnt move at all. I stood there for a couple minutes and nothing... it never moved at all. I went inside and grabed my camera and when I came back it was in the same place, never moved.

It constintly kept flashing red and blue then went to white for a couple seconds as seen in the video below. I recorded it as three seperate clips but they are all in one video below.

When you watch the video remeber that the object is NOT moving. the camers is. So I am sorry that it is jumpy im not good at keeping cameras still. but the second clip in my video is the least jumpy.

Please What is it? any ideas?

Hi there,

I would say that you have caught some nice images of Sirius. The beautiful bright star that sits below and to the left of Orion (the hunter's) 'foot'.

Sirius always reminds me of a diamond twinkling in the sky; and whilst it is predominatley a blue/white star ... it does flash red and green sometimes.

However, I could be wrong as I'm no expert ... but I do know what Sirius and Orion look like. Nice little video thanks for posting.

Well, one way to test the theory that this is some craft is to go back out there tonight, and see if it's there again. If there is no overcast, it should be in the same location if it's a star. Otherwise, you might have something.

Don't worry, I'll wait...

One question: What location are you in, region-wise? West coast, or elsewhere? I only ask because of recent astronomical events. It is important though.

Could it have been a satellite? How long did the object remain in the sky? Did the other stars continue to move while this object remained steady? What was the size from your view? Have you tried any Astronomy sites and checked with the date and time as well as direction? How long did you watch it? When did you discover it gone?

Interesting vid. Thanks.
Could be a bunch of "knowns". Could also be something "other". Didn't exactly look like a twinkler but vids can be deceptive... I liked it. I liked that you aren't "selling" it.
I don't look at as many anymore... one gets a bit jaded at times. Hope springs eternal though and Spring's coming.

Keep looking up.

Hey uncanneverdie, I've got video of the same thing, but with a tripod and zoomed in at about 400x digital. Can you make out with the naked eye energy coming off of them, like a spider shooting a web?

Everyone is going to tell you its a star, which it is, but (I'm gunna catch heat for this) i don't believe anything is in "outer space" or that it exists or even that the world is round like a ball.

I believe my eyes over pictures and my senses over what I'm told. I sound crazy, I know, but I can see the sun, moon and stars IN the sky. I believe they are in the Aether, a fluid like static charge similar to water.

I say static, because if you watch the space station or shuttle in space. Men and women in space with long hair stands up like they are touching a plasma ball no matter which way they orient there bodies where it should be that there hair is in "freefall" towards the earth, but is not such the case.

I'll try to post that vid here when I get home. I just got it last night. When I zoomed in, I can actually make faces out on the stars. I believe they are living. They also have a notch at the top, just like the dropa disk and nasa sts tether video.

Peace

Hi there. Sure was glad to see your nice videos! We saw similar flashes.
We just came in from watching something that caught my eye because it seemed to flash red and blue, expected it to be a plane and fly over, but did not move in 10 minutes. We watched it for 1.5 hours, tried to see in telescope and take pics, drove around. One pic is red, one orange, two blue, one green; all just blobs. In the telescope it looked like a rainbow of colors, including purple and yellow. That intrigued me!
However, it was definitely evident it was higher in the sky after the 1.5 hours; it was geostationary, moved with a nearby star. We wracked our brains and decided it is most likely some kind of satellite that reflects sunlight, and it must spin or move, changing colors like raindrops in a rainbow, or like a prism or hologram when angle is changed. That is all we can come up with! Hope we find out! phnixlady
